On this page we want to show you that
Pit Bulls are not the bad dogs the news media makes them out to
be. Pit Bulls can be very gentle and loving unless they are abused
and forced to become what they are not. Throughout history these
dogs have helped man kind in alot of ways, we just want to show
you some here.
For example you can read about Sgt. Stubby,
a dog that won medals in WWI. He was not alone, a female pitbull
helped civil war soldiers by helping the wounded until she was killed
by a stray bullet and immortalized at the foot of the 11th Regiment's
Mounment at Gettysburg National Military Park.
Pit Bulls were once America's favorite dog breed, but now due to
many forced dog fights they are feared and in some cases banned
by city officals. We hope to retire that assumption that all pits
are bad dogs. Dogs are not born as killers, we make them that way.
They were not only used during war time, but many of us grew up
watching them on TV. Pit Bulls are smart and learn commands quickly
which makes them the perfect breed to become actors and actresses.
They have appeared in movies, TV commercials, TV shows, and a multitude
of kids programming.
Read some of our pages on good pit bulls that have in their own
way, changed history.

is a dog that had a life long commitment to his men.......read

Pete the Pup (Little Rascals)
Petey as he was known was a great actor, especially since he learned
it all from his dad, Pal, The Wonder Dog. This loveable pit had
a special deformity, a circle pattern around his eye. A deformity
that was often tried but hardly ever reproduced. His talents and
looks made him the star of many TV shows including the original
Little Rascals.....read more.
Weela (Ken-L
Ration's Dog Hero of the Year in 1993)
After saving his 11 year old from a deadly ralttlesnake bite (taking
the bite himself instead) he managed to recover and save 30 people
, 29 dogs, 13 horses, and a cat (LOL) from rising flood waters of
the Tijuana River. For over a month's time she brought food and
rations to the stranded people and animals all while helping them
cross the flooded area safely.....read more. |
